Found this book in the library. I don't know much about his later life, but geez...nine months travelling South American roads on a motorbike in the 50s. I've just seen his itinerary of the Peru leg alone...this guy was loco.

I've travelled across Peru with this thing, my little #ipodshuffle and at times, while using it, depending where I am, torn between modern and retro. I thought it had it when I left it in my pocket and drowned it in the washing machine (third shuffle this has happened to over the yrs). But for the memories I kept it on my travel shelf. Back at work, ready to concentrate on writing news again, behind the camera. Really appreciative that I had a supportive boss who let me take a few days off to enter #manhuntaustralia2019

Yesterday was a good day. I spent my birthday vouchers, treating myself after some real determination to prep for a modelling comp. I bought #pokemonshield , which just came out. But with my QBS voucher I decided to buy knowledge that coukd help my life, and something I would not normally buy. Because I want change, bought a cookbook which focuses on protein and energy driven foods! Going to have to master the brussel sprouts and brown rice! And because I am a dreamer, I bought a Lonely Planet book which has a portfolio and facts about every country! Pick a country and I will tell you about it.

11 yr old me: Yesss! #Pokemon Silver! 30 yr old me: Yesss! I choose you, generic little blue one! Reward yourself.

A new day rises. We get up and carry on.

The end of an intense day. Or as my creative writer mentor would describe it with the title of her book, it is an #atomiccity It can eat you up and make you feel you aren’t enough, even if you know you should be proud of what you are.

One of the best parts of entering #manhuntaustralia2019 is checking out the goodie bags. It was a bit of trip from #Bundaberg by train so the moisturiser and facial cleansing wipes given by @skino2au is super-useful for the last eight hours or prepping.
